Statement of Derek Ogilvie
Last night during my theatre show in Zeist we decided to stop the show as I was feeling unwell. This was not a decision that was taken lightly as the last thing I would ever want to do is upset anyone who has taken the time to come to one of my live shows but it was very clear to me, and I am sure to many people in the audience, that I was not my usual self.
After I left the stage I felt faint and suffered chest pains so as a precautionary measure my theatre producer sent for a ambulance. I was then checked out by the paramedics who advised me to see a doctor.
This morning I visited my local doctor and also went for tests at the hospital in Almere, the results of which have so far indicated that I have Bronchitis.
Thankfully though I am feeling a bit better today. My focus is now on getting back to my usual self as quickly as possible and my next theatre show in Gorinchem next Monday.
All those who were in the theatre yesterday will be contacted by SEE Tickets and informed of all the options available to them. Let me also take this opportunity to give a big thank you to everyone who has taken the time to get in touch with their kind words of support.
